Vintage Black Silk Haori w/ Children Pattern

- Age: From the mid to late Showa era (1926-1989)
- Fabric & Pattern: 100% silk exterior and lining. The Haori is a jacket that is traditionally worn over Kimono. This Haori has a pattern of children ringing bells, playing a drum, and pulling a flower cart of 'tachibana' (Japanese citrus fruit similar to mandarin orange). The pattern is dyed and has gold glazes.

- Condition: Very good vintage condition. Please see all of the photos for details about imperfections There are tiny white spots on some places on the exterior, which are not noticeable when wearing. There are some stains and discoloration to the lining

- Freshening: Air outside for 1 1/2 to 2 hours on a dry day with good airflow, preferably on a kimono hanger
- Wrinkles: Proper storage and the above freshening procedure will help avoid wrinkles. If you must iron, do so on the lowest silk temperature setting, dry iron/no steam, and use a pressing cloth between the silk and the iron
- Cleaning: We recommend using a professional dry cleaner who has experience with fine vintage silk garments. Spot cleaning yourself is not recommended
